Passage: John 15:1-17
1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17 This is my command: Love each other.

Reflection:
1.	How important is remaining in Christ, based on this passage?
2.	What happens when we rely on Christ?
3.	How do we remain in Jesus’ love?
4.	What are the reasons Jesus wants us to remain in him (vv. 4,7,8) and love him (vv. 8,11,16)?
5.	Studying the Bible each day is a great way to encourages us to remain in Christ and you’ve been doing that! What are other helpful ways? We’re in our final week of this series of studies, what will you study next?

3 Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.
7 Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Reflection:
1.	What are things you appreciate about God?
2.	Have there been times in the past when you trusted God in the midst of others’ wicked schemes? What was that like? Was God faithful?
3.	What does it look like to “take delight in the Lord” with your current decisions? Thank God for who he is. Delight in his presence as you trust him with your decisions and your future. God is at work in you!

Passage: Romans 12:1-2
1Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Reflection:
1.	How do we discover God’s will based on this passage?
2.	How does your mind need to be renewed as you’re processing your decision(s)? What is God’s perspective on your decision(s) based on the Bible?
3.	Ask God to continue make his perspective obvious to you. We’ll focus on the advantage of seeking the advice of others tomorrow.

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Reflection:
2.	How is it possible to have joy in the middle of a trial? Is that our tendency?
3.	How has God used your trials in the past? Ask God to help you persevere and grow through the trials you are facing now, and will face in the future.
